Poultry and Waterfowl Competitions

The Poultry and Waterfowl Competitions at the Rocky Show showcases a range of poultry and water fowl, from colourful chickens to elegant ducks, highlighting the dedication of breeders and their commitment to quality. It provides a platform for sharing knowledge about poultry care and husbandry.

What will spectators see?

Spectators can look forward to an impressive display in the Kele Pavilion of various poultry and waterfowl breeds, each showcasing their unique colours, sizes, and characteristics. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with breeders, learn about different breeds, and vote for their favourite in the People’s Choice Competition.

How are the Poultry and WaterFowl Competitions judged?

Entries are judged based on breed standards, overall appearance, feather quality, and condition. Judges also consider the behaviour and temperament of the birds, as well as the care taken in their presentation.

Nominations Close: 11.59pm Friday 23 May 2025

Exhibit Delivery: Please deliver to the Kele Pavilion 12pm - 6pm on Wednesday 11 June or 6am - 8am on Thursday 12 June 2025.

Judging: Thursday 12 June 2025

Exhibit Collection: Please collect from the Kele Pavilion between 6pm and 8pm on Friday 13 June 2025.
