Rocky Show School Work Competitions

The Schools Competition at the Rocky Show encourages young minds to showcase their creativity and knowledge across various categories. Students from local schools’ present projects that highlight their learning, passion for agriculture, and artistic talents. This event not only fosters a sense of community but also inspires the next generation to engage with agriculture and the arts.

What will spectators see?

Spectators can look forward to a vibrant array of student projects, including innovative art pieces, displays and scarecrows in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion. Take a walk through the array of different competitions and be amazed by the creativity of the young participants.

How are the School Competitions judged?

Entries are evaluated based on creativity, originality, presentation, and the relevance of the content to the chosen category. Judges will also consider the effort and skill demonstrated in each project.

Key Dates

Nominations Close: Friday 30 May 2025

Exhibit Delivery: Please deliver to the Robert Schwarten Pavilion 8am - 4pm on Friday 6 June or Monday 9 June 2025.

Judging: Wednesday 11 June 2025

Exhibit Collection: Please collect your exhibit from the Robert Schwarten Pavilion 8am – 4pm between Monday 16 – Wednesday 19 June 2025.

Who organises the School Work Competition?

This competition is organised by the Rockhampton Agricultural Show Committee. The Committee can be contacted by emailing show@rrc.qld.gov.au or calling 4936 8800.

Competition Supporters

The Rockhampton Agricultural Show is proud to offer the Schoolwork Competition, where young minds showcase their creativity through hands-on activities like making scarecrows, posters, and dioramas.

Currently, the School Section has no sponsors or supporters. Your support could help bring this competition to life by providing prize money, awards, and resources for the kids to express their creativity and hard work.
