Reflecting on the 2024 Showgirl Awards

From Small Town Dreams to Showgirl Triumph: A Journey of Empowerment

Join me on an extraordinary journey that began with a simple application form to the Rockhampton Show Team and blossomed into an unforgettable adventure as the CQ Showgirl winner and Rockhampton Showgirl for 2024. Amidst the vibrant backdrop of the Ekka, I stood shaking hands with the Governor-General, attended a dinner surrounded by over 200 friends, family, and newfound connections.

From my initial interview, where I engaged in lively discussions about my passions, to participating in a dynamic agricultural show filled with panel interviews, fashion parades, and ribbon presentations, each moment has been a celebration of growth and community. My experiences extended to Yeppoon, where I immersed myself in permaculture and met fellow showgirls from across Central Queensland.

The excitement reached new heights during the state finals in Brisbane, where I honed my skills in personal development and etiquette, mingled with esteemed politicians, and proudly represented young women in agriculture. This whirlwind of experiences not only enriched my life but also reinforced my commitment to empowerment and community.

As I reflect on this incredible journey, I cherish the memories and connections made along the way. Join me in celebrating the spirit of the showgirl and the vibrant community that supports us!
