Enjoy the greatest traditions of the Rockhampton Agricultural Show. Long-standing favourites are always a feature - we proudly present Woodchopping, Showgirl and Rural Ambassador, the Grand Parade and more.

Stud Beef and Commercial Cattle

Rockhampton is the Beef Capital of Australia, and what better way to celebrate than to display the best Stud and Commercial Cattle in the region! Make your way down to the cattle judging area to see the competition, or admire all the breeds in their pens. 

Woodchop 

Watch in amazement at the accuracy and speed of the old-fashioned sporting rivalry – woodchopping. Located on the open field near Entry Gate 1, you can't miss the talent from around the region. 

Cookery and Cake Decorating

A crowd favourite is the spectacular Baking and Cake Decorating section located in the James Lawrence Pavilion. Be inspired to try a few baked goods yourself after you see the wide range of preserves, baking and decorated cakes – the display is a must-see!

Arts and Crafts 

Come and see how the amazing creative talent from around the Rocky region competes in the Arts & Crafts section! Extraordinary creations range from pottery, china painting, quilting, card making, scrapbooking, needlework and fine arts! Pop into the James Lawrence Pavilion to see imagination and inventiveness at work.

Photography 

The McCamley Pavilion is home to the Photography competition. See the works of talented local photographers presenting their unique and beautiful insights into the people and places of Central Queensland. 

Horticulture 

Whether you have a ‘green thumb’ or just appreciate loveliness, everyone enjoys wandering through the ever-popular floral and greenery displays in the Horticulture Pavilion. Featuring cut flowers, potted plants, miniature gardens and beautiful floral art – this section is well worth your time!

Horses

The Horses and Show Jumping competitions wow the crowds in the Centre Ring.  Watch in awe as these amazing animals and their riders tackle new heights, and take time to admire the best-groomed animals at The Show.
